There are a number of activities Peace offers to benefit our community. They include:
Little Food Pantry – When the city of Schofield discontinued their food pantry outside of the old City Hall, Peace Church began our own Little Food Pantry located right outside our building on Church Street. There are two small boxes – one contains nonperishable food items and the other holds paper products. It has been very well received and is used often by the community. Donations are always welcome (including financial) – we have even had people in the immediate neighborhood help fill it!
Medical Closet – Inside our church, there is a room filled with medical equipment that is available for rent by the community at no charge. This includes walkers, wheelchairs, crutches and assorted other home health aids. There is however a check-out process; please contact the church office for more information.
Facility Use – The facilities of the church are available for use by both congregation members and non-members for a small fee. This includes our Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Friedens Room (small meeting room for groups of 30 or less), classrooms and nursery. More information can be obtained by contacting the church office during regular business hours.
Other activities are held during the year to benefit the community such as our holiday bazaar, Red Cross blood drive and more. Check our “Events” page on this site or our Facebook page to see what’s coming up at Peace UCC!
